This site was occupied by a derelict cinema, a local landmark which had fallen into disuse. Planning conditions required that any new building was the same area as the existing building, and that the stone front facade was to be retained. The new building consists of 12 flats in a U shape facing east, creating a private courtyard for the residents which gets the morning sun. The stone facade was dismantled and rebuilt using both original and new stone.
