Architectual Practice
The practice was established in 1983, and has carried out a
wide range of projects,
including a puppet theatre (Regeneration of Scotland Commendation
awarded),
social housing, community and health centres, the conservation and
rehabilitation of listed buildings, restaurant and office fit-outs
and domestic alterations.The majority of the projects involve working with existing buildings.The practice carries Professional Indemnity Insurance through the Royal Incorporation of Architects in Scotland (R.I.A.S).
The Principal
The Principal of the practice, Iain Abbot, has academic qualifications
in architecture (B. Arch. Hons.) and Business Administration (MBA), both from Edinburgh University.
He is member of the Royal Institute of British Architects (R.I.B.A)
and an associate of the Royal Incorporation of Architects in Scotland
(A.R.I.A.S).
He is a founder member of E.C.A.N (Edinburgh Chartered Architects
Network), a group of smaller architectural practices in south east
Scotland.
